Our journey began with a simple yet powerful realization: sound has the innate ability to heal, harmonize, and elevate the human spirit. We have had the privilege of holding space for hundreds of people to experience the profound healing power of sound meditation. Through our sessions, individuals have found clarity, peace, and a deeper connection to their true selves.

The world around you is an invisible network of energy, made up of vibrations that, for the most part, escape our conscious awareness.

Science now proves that our human senses perceive less than 1% of the electromagnetic spectrum and only a fraction of possible sound frequencies.

Despite the limitations of our human perception, quantum physics confirms what mystics, sages, and shamans have known since the beginning of time: that everything around and within you is vibrating at frequencies that are imperceptible to your human senses. 

Vibration is the fabric and structure of the universe.

The sound meditation invites you to leave behind the world of form and matter to explore the world of vibration, frequency, and energy. 

If you are made of vibration, that means you are an instrument. You can be tuned, upgraded, and reprogrammed to operate at the frequency you want to experience more of. 

Picture yourself as a radio receiver. You can access the entire spectrum of energetic frequencies that are available - fear, anxiety, anger, stress, shame, hurt, greed, lack, love, joy, peace, power, freedom, abundance.

They are all available, but most of us are programmed or “tuned” to the energetic channels of fear, scarcity, and lack due to our past experiences and hurts.

The sound meditation invites you to liberate yourself from your conditioning so that you may access true inner peace.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

In sound meditations, we access the formless & eternal within.

We do this by learning how to listen.

The external sounds that Nicole and John create with their instruments are mirrors for the internal sounds inside of our heads; otherwise known as “thoughts.” 

Most of modern Western society is plagued with the inability to disidentify from thought. Unlike some ancient traditions that treat thought as the sixth sense, we have become so attached and identified with our thoughts that we can no longer see them as separate from our sense of self. This over-identification with our thoughts clouds our perception and limits our ability to experience true inner peace and self-awareness.

In sound meditations, we practice listening to both internal and external sounds without reacting

Space is what exists between stimuli and our reactions to the stimuli. People often spend a majority of their lives reacting from the unconscious.

In sound meditations —

we practice creating space within so that we may rise above our conditioned unconscious reactions to the world, and instead become the conscious creators of our lives.

THE SCIENCE OF SOUND

Sound meditation is not just a spiritual practice; it’s backed by scientific research. 

During sound meditation, your nervous system moves out of fight-or-flight mode into rest-and-digest mode and your brain enters a state of coherence. Coherence is a phenomenon where different brain regions synchronize in harmony. 


EEG scans below display a transformation from scattered brain activity to synchronized waves after exposure to specific instruments. This synchronization is linked to numerous benefits, including enhanced mental clarity, optimal cognitive function, emotional stability, improved creativity and learning, and overall well-being.

SOUND AND YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS

Typically, our brains operate in the beta state, associated with daily stress and cognitive tasks. Sound meditation facilitates a downward shift to alpha and theta brainwave states—slower and more meditative states promoting relaxation, creativity, and mental clarity. 

As your brainwaves slow down into alpha and even more relaxed theta, your focus transitions from the external environment to the rich internal world, granting access to your subconscious mind.

If you desire change but struggle to actualize it, you need to work with your subconscious. Your subconscious mind makes up 95% of your everyday thoughts and habits. It continues to store limiting belief systems even when your conscious mind is “doing the work.”

Meditating with sound helps make the unconscious conscious —

by facilitating a shift from mere cognitive processing (which can only take you so far) to deep emotional and experiential engagement. This process helps to surface and transform subconscious patterns that typically govern our behaviors and beliefs.

the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. By engaging with sound in meditation, you can stimulate and strengthen new neural connections, promoting mental flexibility and the ability to adapt to new experiences and challenges.

COMPONENTS OF THE SOUND MEDITATION

The sound meditation is a 6 hour immersive experience that includes 5 chapters:

  • Nicole and John will introduce the principles of sound, delve into the science behind it, discuss its therapeutic and medical benefits, and demonstrate how to use sound as a powerful tool for meditation.

  • Nicole will lead a breathwork session designed to help you transition from your default mode of awareness to a heightened, deeper state, priming your mind and body for the upcoming sonic journey.

  • Explore and discover your unique frequencies through guided vocal meditation. This practice enhances presence in the body, and allows you to release stuck energy and emotion.

  • Nicole and John will play a variety of overtone-emitting instruments, including gongs, singing bowls, tuning forks, bells, chimes, and more. These sounds will guide you into a profound state of meditation and relaxation.

  • Conclude the journey with an (optional) opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings, insights, and revelations. This reflective session fosters a sense of community and enhances the personal insights gained during the experience.
